The project is the establishment of a factory to recycle spent batteries in the State of Qatar under the name of the United Factory for Recycling of Car Batteries, as the idea of the project depends on making use of damaged batteries and recycling them instead of disposing them in ways that are health and environmentally unsafe in order to extract and separate the components of the battery from (plastic, And lead, and acid) and to take advantage of the expansion of the market size as the project market is expanding and growing, as batteries serve as a source of energy for a wide range of equipment and devices used in the home, and in commerce and industry. They are widely used in all modern modes of transportation including cars, trucks, buses, boats, trains, rapid mass transit systems, recreational vehicles etc. It also saves energy in cases of power outages. It should be noted that all car batteries and 95 percent of industrial batteries are lead acid secondary cells. The importance of recycling batteries in an environmentally sound manner is that it prevents lead from being re-emitted into the environment and avoids the energy waste associated with the production of lead from natural resources. The market size of the factory is also expanding as a result of the number of cars in the State of Qatar, with an average growth rate of 9% annually, which indicates an increase in demand for the project’s products in the coming years.
